Evacuation Days 1&2

Jimmy kept watching Hurricane Matthew and when it started looking like it was really heading our way at the beginning of the week we decided to go ahead and leave town. We wanted to beat the masses and definitely didn't want to risk no power with the two bitties. So after we picked Charlie Banks up from school on Tuesday we got everything ready around the house and packed up as quickly as possible. I had been itching to get to the mountains this fall, but knew that wasn't going to happen with surgery recovery, Haines, and Jimmys work schedule. BUT, I was wrong!  We stopped to spend the night at my dads in Columbia the first night to break up the drive. We had fun grilling out that night, then hit the road the next morning to finish the trip. We stopped at Sky Top Apple Orchard on the way.  Charlie Banks loved the hay ride and Haines was just along for the ride. The apple cider donuts were delicious!  Jimmy loves being able to drink a beer while shopping at the grocery store in the mountains. Too much fun!
