Family Visit

The day after Thanksgiving, Jimmy's mom, dad, sister and fiancé made the trek to visit us!  It was the perfect time for a visit as Jimmy was finishing up his first level of training so he had somewhat of a slower work schedule for a few days. We were so happy to show them around our new town and to spend time with them. We were also so excited to celebrate Kingslea and Preston's recent engagement. They kicked off the weekend by asking all of us to be in their wedding and I am already giddy about seeing the boys as ring bearers in such a special wedding! 😍

Friday afternoon we walked to the park, had popsicles by the tree in Hyde Park and picked up tacos from Green Lemon to eat fireside at our apartment. We also had a late night visit downstairs to Bulla for paella! 😜  Saturday, we took them to Ballast Point Park then to lunch at Wright's - our favorite sandwich place so far!  We had reservations at Bern's that night, which is always a super special treat!  Kitchen and wine room tours that end in the dessert room make for a fun night!  Sunday, we made it out to Egmont Key and I'll do a seperate post about our fun day there.  We grilled out that night and enjoyed the fire pit again. Monday morning we went to breakfast at Oxford Exchange before sadly sending them on their way!

I think we all felt a little extra home sick after they headed back to Charleston after such a fun weekend!
