Egmont Key

The Sunday that our family was in town we took our first trip to Egmont Key.  It is a state park that is only accessible by boat. The pilot station for Jimmy's work is there and they have a bunch of little cottages for each pilot. There is a lot of history that I need to read more about, but it was an old fort from the Spanish American War. There is a lighthouse and a lot of ruins to explore, not to mention a beautiful beach. At one time there were several thousand people living there! I foresee our family spending a lot of time here!
