Zoo

We had a fun morning at the zoo yesterday!  I loved seeing all of the Christmas decorations and I have no doubt it is spectacular after dark. We saw all the animals, rode a few rides, took the safari train tour and even splashed in the splash pad for a few (which I was prepared for this time). A fun morning with my babies!

St. Augustine

We had the best time in St. Augustine this past weekend. It is such a special town to us and now that both of my grandparents have passed we don't get there nearly as often.  We decided to make it an annual tradition to all still meet there every December. It made it all the more special to be around family this year since it's our first Christmas away from home. It made me so happy and I know my grandparents are delighted, too!  The boys and I arrived late Friday afternoon and met up with my dad, stepmom, aunt and uncle to get checked in to our house on Crescent Beach. We headed to meet more family at Creekside Dinery for a fun dinner. I had a delicious chicken special with a datil pepper sauce. I had to order it as datil peppers remind me so much of St. A.  The restaurant has an amazing outdoor area on the creek with a fire pit and fun band. The boys enjoyed dancing to the band which bought me a little extra time. After dinner, we drove through downtown on the way home to check out the beautiful lights. We had fun opening some exciting Christmas presents once we got back to the house!  We were so happy that Jimmy got in around midnight. The next day we headed back downtown to play tourist.  We walked around some of Flagler College, the cathedral (where Hudson declared "Jesus was in here" haha and also where I was baptized), and of course St George Street. We enjoyed pizza from family favorite, Pizza Time, before heading back to the house to rest. That afternoon all of the family came over to eat. We stayed up way too late and had way too much fun being together. Sunday morning we visited the cemetery and then hit the road! Such a fun weekend with family!
