We planned a fun, quick trip to Orlando for a night last week. We wanted to check out the ICE fun at the Gaylord Palms and figured we had to go to Disney while there! We had such a fun time at ICE and it will definitely be a tradition in the years to come. We actually enjoyed our day there more than the following day at Disney. We got the boys out of school a little early to try to make it to the hotel by the 1 o’clock Cirque show. They have a free 30 minute Cirgue show twice a day and we wanted to make it to the first one. After the show, we checked in and changed into our warmest clothes as part of the ice exhibit is 9 degrees!!!! We had pictures with Santa, then enjoyed cookies and milk during Mrs. Claus’ story time. We threw snowballs, tubed, slid down the ice slides, wrote letters to Santa, etc. We regrouped in the room while watching the amazing light show from our atrium balcony. We ordered pizza and enjoyed it in the atrium before ending the night with hot chocolate and a story from the Sugarplum Fairy. We had such a fun day! The next morning we headed to Magic Kingdom for the day. Poor Haines was scared on most of the rides that got dark...he snuggled up and cried through most of the dark parts! We were all pooped by the time we made it home that evening!
