Halloween Fun

We had such a fun Halloween!  It was really our first Halloween that Charlie Banks "got" it and that really just made it so fun. It was also our first time having daddy trick or treat with us - a special perk of his new job!  As crazy as his schedule currently is, we will not forget how much better it is than being half way across the world for weeks at a time. We kicked off the weekend with a sweet Halloween festival at Hyde Park Village.  Charlie Banks got his face painted and "decorated" cupcakes and donuts. We had fun at Charlie Banks' school costume parade and party!  It's always fun to see them in their little school element. We ended the celebrations with a fun night of trick or treating with one of Jimmy's coworkers family. They live a few blocks away and have children the same ages. It was the trick or treating mecca!  I had already been so amazed at how many people decorated their homes for Halloween, but the area we were in was so fun!  One house had popcorn, corn dogs, beer and wine...another that we didn't make it to had a dj booth...and so many had parties and spooky decorations. We will have our work cut out for us when we buy a house.  The word on the street is that the CEO of one of the big candy companies used to live in the neighborhood and that people would come from all over to go trick or treating at his house, so it has remained a popular destination for trick or treaters. Too much fun!
