Eyes
This past Thursday we had a serious scare! I got home from taking Haines to his well check and Charlie Banks and Jimmy were playing outside. They came in for lunch and Charlie Banks was rubbing his eyes and I thought he may have gotten some dirt or something in them. Within 15 minutes he was struggling to keep them open and his eyes were rolling in the back of his head. Shortly thereafter he was unable to open them at all. I ran upstairs and grabbed Haines from his sleep and we rushed to the er. It was close to his nap time so I think having his eyes closed was making him fall asleep, but I thought he was passing out. Long story short, he had a corneal abrasion i.e. a cut on the colored part of his eye. He did not open his eyes until the next day! It was very painful for him and made his eyes very sensitive to light. He was pretty pitiful and we got a lot of snuggles! It was a scary experience and we are so thankful he's on the mend!
