We love trying new restaurants but cannot keep up with all of them popping up around town. We wanted to get out for a baby less night before Jimmy leaves for a month and a half next week. A few months ago we appetizer hopped downtown and had a blast so we decided on this again. We tried several new to us places, then ended with two we have been to before. So fun and all delicious! We had grilled tomatoes and mozzarella at The Westendorff...white chocolate and pistachio tomatoes (more tomatoes, but this sounded too funky not to try!) and the geechie boy grits loaf at 492...baked pimento oysters as well as some on the half shell with some hush puppies at The Darling...some type of egg and pork pasta at Indaco...and caramel cake and creme brûlée at Halls for dessert.
I'm not big on seafood, but Jimmy declared The Darlings baked pimento oysters the best oysters he has ever had! We had a great time and I know Jimmys parents enjoyed the one-on-one time with Charlie Banks!
