What a wonderful weekend...only missing Jimmy. The weather was gorgeous all weekend. Saturday morning we met friends at the county park. We played on the playground, had a picnic lunch, and enjoyed a long walk on the trails. We baked cookies for some of our favorite mommas, soon to be mommas, and those praying to become mamas. Sunday morning we delivered some cookies and met my sister and her family at California Dreaming for lunch. We enjoyed dinner with Jimmys parents and sister. Jimmy spoiled me from afar with a gift certificate for a massage that will be redeemed promptly after he returns! We are excited that my mom is coming in town tomorrow so we can have a belated celebration with her. A wonderful weekend with lots of special mommas on my mind!

Busy Bees!
We have been pretty busy this week! We finger painted with chocolate at the library, played a lot at home, played with cousins while I went to my 20 week appointment, celebrated Cinco de Mayo with friends, visited the animals at Hidden Ponds Nursery, whew! Pregnancy insomnia is the pits so I've been pretty tired, but I am happy to report that all looked great in our 20 week ultrasound. In other exciting news I got stung by a yellow jacket or bee while pulling weeds and we are suffering through a sleep regression. Thankfully it is only affecting his nap, but a no nap day can make for a long afternoon. One day this week he was so tired he was falling asleep sitting up, but still refused to lay down. Little stinker! It was pretty hysterical. Hopefully he will get back on track asap! We don't have much on the weekend agenda other than making some Mother's Day treats for some of our favorite moms, a Mother's Day lunch with my sister and family, and enjoying the beautiful weather!

20 Weeks!
Half way! It's very hard to believe this pregnancy is already half way over. Although I remember all too well that things seem to go a lot slower towards the end. I'm feeling so much better and more energized which is great. The bump is definitely appearing and most regular pants have had to be retired. I've been working on the nursery and finally got the fabric ordered today! That was a huge check off of the to do list. Now it's added to my moms never ending to do list! The room will really come together once that is complete. We still need a chair and lamps...and a few other random things. I'm definitely way ahead of where I was in Charlie Banks pregnancy...as we hadn't even moved into our new house at this point. Thinking back to that even makes me stressed...but it was well worth the stress.
We have been staying busy playing outside as much as possible in the gorgeous weather. Charlie Banks really loves to be outside. I was able to get a tiny bit of yard work done while he played over the weekend. I also cleaned his entourage of wagons and cars. Ha! They were covered in pollen. Lots of fun lately and so thankful I've gotten my energy back to enjoy it!

Folly Fun
I needed to go to Folly this morning to pick up a table for the new nursery, so I decided we would make a morning of it. We had breakfast at one of our favorites, Lost Dog, then hit the beach for a little bit. We had fun enjoying the beautiful weather!

Picking Strawberries
We met my sister, Harper and Hadleigh at Boone Hall to pick strawberries this morning. It was fun, but Charlie Banks was hot and didn't like the weeds and sand on his feet. Ha! My sister shared a strawberry popsicle recipe that we are going to make with our crop.

15 Month (+3 weeks) Checkup & Other Fun
Charlie Banks had his 15 month checkup this morning 3 weeks late. He weighed in at 22lbs 9oz - a little above the 25th percentile. He is 31.25 inches putting him in the 50th percentile for height. His head is in the 25th percentile at 46 cm. He is a healthy boy with an off the chart vocabulary (haha) according to his doctor. He says: hi/hey, mama, dada, up, down, ball, dog, woof, vroom, baby, eye...and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. He listens pretty well and loves to help follow simple commands, such as "help mommy close this drawer/door/etc". He loves playing outside and still doesn't like it one bit if he doesn't know where his mommy is! He loves kissing all of his stuffed animals and his baby (my old baby doll). He isn't as generous with his kisses to us, but when we are lucky he will give them!
We have been staying busy this week! We have logged lots of time outside and on the golf cart, visited the children's museum, and also tried a new music class called "Songs for Seeds" with Harper (and Hadleigh).
