While it was annoying to move and turn right back around, it was so fun to get to spend Haines' first birthday with those we love. We had a little smash cake the night before we moved that he loved! On his actual birthday, we had coffe/play time at Vintage, brunch at Old Village Post House and a fun dinner that afternoon. Our boy is definitely a full time walker, a great eater and loves to be held. He is just too precious. I know every mom says it, but I really can't believe he is already a one year old. We love this precious boy so much and are forever thankful that he is ours!

Welcome to Tampa!
Well, we moved to Tampa for 2 nights before evacuating back to Charleston for Hurricane Irma. It was a long drive with me in my car solo with the kids, Jimmys mom (was such a help!!) driving his truck and Jimmy driving the uhaul! Jimmy said never again will he drive one of those - ha! We are renting an apartment for the first 9 months so we can figure out the area before buying a house. I am really excited about the apartment - it is in such a fun area. It has a rooftop pool and restaurants, Pilates studio and coffee shop on the bottom level. There are also so many restaurants, park, grocery, etc that we can walk to as well. Jimmy will be super busy with work for at least the first year, so it will be nice to have so many places I can walk to with the kids. Definitely a change from suburbia to city life, but one that I am excited about (for now anyhow 😜). We basically dropped our things and evacuated, so I am excited to get back there today to really get settled.
Going Away Celebrations
We soaked up our final time in Charleston with family and friends. We had a fun going away party with our favorite local beers, favorite foods (Home Team and Rodney Scotts!), live music and special friends/family. It was so sad saying goodbye to those we love so much, but it's really just a see you soon! We will miss Charleston more than I can put into words, but are excited to see what Tampa has in store for us.
