WE ARE MOVED IN!

We have been moved into the new house for almost three weeks…WOOHOO!  We were SO BUSY while Jimmy was home trying to get as settled as possible.  He won’t be home again until December 16th…which is about two weeks before our due date.  It still feels a little surreal that we are actually moved in…I feel like all we have been doing is talking about it for so long that I never thought the day would actually come.  Other than a few things the painters have to finish/touch up, a few things left on the electricians list, our butcher block counter top for the island, and our closets/pantry that can’t be installed until the beginning of December we are pretty much finished!  I am feeling pretty settled other than the closets/pantry, lack of pictures hung, and decorative/furniture things we need.  It feels like a dream house…now we just need our baby to make it complete!

New Entry…

Master Bath.  I was nervous about how the colors I went with were going to work out, but we love it!  Showering is a dream…afraid to see the first water bill though!

New laundry room/office…was the screened in porch off of master before.  I really love this space!  My mom was in town this past weekend and sewed these window treatments.  I love them!

Wet Bar in Kitchen.  One of our favorite decisions – an ice maker that makes sonic ice!  I’m chewing it as I type.

Obviously awaiting the butcher block counter top for island…biggest mistake of the whole project…we ordered the wrong size!  Yikes.IMG_1920IMG_1921IMG_1922IMG_1923

The dining room table was Jimmy’s great grandmothers.  We are so lucky to have it.  Jimmy’s parents had some old wingback chairs that I am having recovered for the ends of the table and the current chairs need to be steamed! Smile

These chairs were my grandparents that I had recovered and the table was Jimmy’s grandparents.  My mom made all of the pillows.  I love these special touches.

It is a work in progress, but we have come SO FAR!  It has been nice having a space to entertain again.  We have already hosted supper club and I’ve had friends over on several other occasions over the past couple of weeks.  This was the main event that I was waiting on in order to really feel ready for the baby…now I’m just holding out for Jimmy to get home on December 16th and he can join us whenever he pleases! Smile

Family Baby Shower

Several weekends ago our families threw us such a sweet baby shower on Folly Beach!  Jimmy ended up having to fly out the morning of the shower to head back to work which was a total bummer, but it was a special day.  My sister, two of my nieces, and nephew from Texas were all there and my aunt and uncle from Alabama made the trip as well.  They came in on Friday to go to my dads game…which we just won’t talk about!  It was so special to have them there and meant so much that they all made such long trips.  The decorations, food, and company were perfect and we received so many sweet gifts.

Cabinets & Cars

I have been SO busy while Jimmy has been gone this time with car buying and house decisions.  Speaking of him being gone…he is working in West Africa right now…which is a tad worrisome with all of the ebola scares.  Hopefully no quarantines or anything crazy when he flies home next week!  We bought a new car while he was gone which was really exciting!  And our cabinets have started to go in.  Woohoo…progress!  The car buying was a stressful experience without him here to help, but I did it.  We knew we needed a bigger car for me to drive since I will soon have a lot more precious cargo to tote around.  I still have my car that I have been driving to work and we will try to sell it in a few weeks. I can’t wait to have the car seat in the back of our new car!  Football season is going well as my dads team hasn’t lost since the first game they played in Ohio.  We are 6-1!!  All is going great with the pregnancy and we now go to the doctor every 2 weeks…crazy!  We will be 29 weeks tomorrow and I am definitely getting bigger by the week.  I have been noticing myself getting a little more tired lately…I went to bed at 7:30 the other night and I slept in until 9 this morning!  HA!  A few pics…

Where I’ve Been…

We have been so busy lately but its hard to put my finger on what we’ve been doing exactly.  I always feel like this when Jimmy is home, because there is so much that we need/want to do or get done while he is here.  He headed back to work last Monday.  We spent a week in the Outer Banks and it was very relaxing.  The weather was great and Jimmy was doing what he loves best…fishing!  I was home alone for 4 of the days while everyone else fished so I relaxed, cooked, shopped, walked, got a massage…it was a nice week. Things are progressing on the house pretty well!  We are definitely tired of making decisions which has taken a big chunk of our time.  I am hoping to move in around 3-4 weeks…but we will see how that goes.  Football is fully underway and its hard to believe we are already 4 games into the season when it feels like it just started!  All is well with Baby Moore and my mom has been working tirelessly on the nursery!  We have showered my friend Lauren for her upcoming wedding.  Lots going on which is nice!  A photo dump below of all of the above!

My obsession the week we were in OBX.  I found it at the Fresh Market there and it is TO DIE FOR.  Let me know if anyone sees this stuff in Charleston…I haven’t had any luck at Whole Foods or Southern Seasons…
