We had our last exciting thing on the calendar for the summer last week! A long visit from Leazy, Jim Daddy, Kingslea and Preston! We met them about an hour north of Tampa in Crystal River for the first 4 nights to go scalloping! We really had no clue what to expect, but had so much fun and definitely plan to go again next year! We had a cute house on the river, had success scalloping, swam in the crystal clear spring and saw several manatees! Preston is quite the chef and made the most delicious meals with our fresh scallops! Apparently I like scallops...my seafood palate is becoming quite diverse! Ha! We had a great dinner out at a fun place on the water called Peck’s as well. I was nervous as to how we would do sleeping as it was our first trip with Haines not in a crib. It was a tad rough, but he at least went to sleep easily which was great. Such fun! We all made the trek back to Tampa where they stayed with us the next 3 nights! They trailered the boat that Jimmy’s parents bought when they were first married down (that was recently redone) and we now get to keep it at the marina here! So we spent those days finally getting to explore Tampa via water and getting the boat situated there. We took them to St. Pete for Mexican and to Armature Works the next day both via boat! We also explored a couple of the fun sandbars around. We are so happy and thankful to finally have a boat to explore with down here. We had the best time with them here and were super sad to see them go!

Folly
We left the mountains and spent the night with Kingslea and Preston before heading to Folly for our final week of vaca! We had the best week on Folly with my Brooke and her kiddos! We had fun visits from Stephanie, Jordan, Brooke, Kingslea, Nancy, Lea and Leazy throughout the week. It was an exhausting week as Haines learned to crawl out of his pack n play on our last night in the mountains. This meant for a week of restless nights and no naps, but this did not slow us down. We played on the beach everyday, swam in the pool, walked to all of our dinners and just had the best time. We had not been on a true beach vacation like this in yearsssss, because who does that when they live at the beach? Ha! It reminded me of some of my best childhood memories of our beach trips and my sister and I were kicking ourselves for not taking more advantage of our dads condo on Folly! It really was the best and it was so, so sad saying goodbye! Another super exciting part of our trip was that we finally got to go to OUR Come Back Shack!!!! What a long time coming and so fun to get to finally see it in action. Now I’ll be craving it until our next visit!
