Boat Fun

Lots of boat fun this week. Jimmy went fishing one day and we squeezed in a couple boat rides before this tropical storm moved in. We are having a lazy weekend with all of the rain. We did get some nursery things accomplished yesterday and did a lot of cooking!  Happy Memorial Day!

Daddy's Home!

Jimmy made it home late Friday night and we hit the ground running Saturday morning!  We met my sister and company at the splash pad to celebrate Hudsons birthday!  (Four!!!)  We went a little early and had a nice walk in the county park. Charlie Banks had fun in the water even though it was still a tad chilly. We had a picnic lunch before heading home for naps. Saturday afternoon consisted of a golf cart ride to the grocery store and our supper club!  Sunday we headed to our friends house on Isle of Palms for a fun party!  They moved to San Fran a few years ago and wanted to get all of their friends together while in town. We played on the beach and then they had a food truck come serve us all lunch in their backyard!  So fun!  After nap we rode the golf cart to Jimmys parents and to Triangle for dinner.  Charlie Banks is at such a fun age to enjoy the summer activities this year. We are so happy to have Jimmy home for the next month-ish to play with us!  And a quick side note...we have officially finished nursing. He has been nursing once a day, first thing in the morning for a few months and I have been planning to wean from that for awhile to give him (and me!) time before the new baby. But, it made me so sad.  Yesterday morning he wanted nothing to do with it...so what's done is done. I'm proud we made it to almost 17 months!

Charlestowne Landing

I have wanted to take Charlie Banks to Charlestowne Landing for awhile and had never been myself. When I woke up and saw that the rain was going to hold off until after lunch we decided to go to their Toddler Tuesday story time!  The rain kept most people away, but I was so impressed with all of the different animals they had. I had no idea!  They have different birds, pumas, bears, pigs, goats, deer, turkeys, otters, skunks, bison, red wolves...and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.  We will definitely be back!

Weekend

We had a nice weekend...our last before Jimmy gets home!  We celebrated Jimmys moms birthday on Friday night with dinner at Mustard Seed. I am obsessed with the sweet potato ravioli there and have been craving it during this pregnancy so I was happy to get a fix. Saturday morning we headed to Folly. We met my dad and sister (and co.) for breakfast at Lost Dog and some beach and pool time. Today we played at the county park and enjoyed a long walk with a picnic to finish it off. We had Mexican with friends for dinner and ended the evening with a neighborhood golf cart cruise. Lots of fun and looking forward to a hopefully quick week as Jimmy gets home Friday night.

NanJan

We have enjoyed having my mom, NanJan, in town this week. We spent a lot of time at my sisters and CB loved playing with his cousins everyday.

We were sad to send her off this morning!

Cooking

Charlie Banks has been enjoying helping me cook this week.  He loved helping himself to some of our ingredients, too. Too cute!
