Charlie Banks wanted to learn his chores early…helping mommy with the dishes and laundry already!
And just so you don’t think he’s a total angel…my battle scar from him biting me this morning!

Can I just say that we really, really love where we live? And we really, really can’t wait for Jimmy to get home on Tuesday to enjoy it with us!!
11 more days until Jimmy is home again!!! Charlie Banks and I have been having fun together while Dad is away. While summer is coming to an end for most, I feel like he is getting to a better age to enjoy the beach more now that he is sitting up on his own. So I am hoping with the crowds gone we will have another good month of beach fun with him! He has had his first (of many I am sure!) runny nose! He has also had his first real rash/hives that have been reoccurring for a little over a week. Doctor’s orders are a dose of benadryl before bed which has been helping. I took the car seat converter out of the stroller so he has been sitting up like a big boy in the stroller for our daily walks which he really seems to enjoy. I probably should have done it sooner, but it made me pretty sad. He has also been sitting up in the high chair at restaurants which is so much easier for me to take him out now that he can do that. Too much fun lately!
We spent a week in the mountains with my family again this year and we had such a nice time. We stopped in Charlotte and Asheville for a night each on the way. I am still sad that the trip is over as I was looking forward to it for so long. Charlie Banks did great sleeping in the pack ‘n play for the first time and really didn’t miss a beat. I am missing the picnics, cool weather, wineries, breweries and family time! We are hoping to make it back up there this fall to see the leaves change…no more football fridays since my dad retired!
Charlie Banks is 7 months! Wow! He is so fun these days. Trying to crawl, loving his baths, sitting up on his own, loving the golf cart, trying new foods, loving “puffs” and teething crackers, sleeping SO MUCH better, napping like a champ, growing teeth (4 now!) and just busy being the cutest thing I have ever laid my eyes on!!! Our schedule as of late is as follows (more for me to remember):
7 or so wakes up
7:45 nurse
9:00 yogurt
9:45-11:15ish nap
11:15 nurse
1:15 nurse
2:30-4:00 nap
4:00 nurse
6:00 “dinner”
7:15ish nurse and bed
He will wake up somewhere around 5ish to nurse.
We had a busy month wedding celebrating, baby showering and baby welcoming! We had a wonderful time celebrating our good friends Merv and Erin’s wedding! We showered Jordan and baby Hunter and are waiting for his arrival any day now! And one of Charlie Banks’ new besties was born, Riggs Elmer Stone! We are so happy for Austin and Mercedes. Special times all around! Many thanks to NanJan for coming to watch Charlie Banks during the wedding weekend. We love having her here!
