This past Thursday I got to babysit Hudson for a little bit while my Mom was at an appointment and Brooke had to be in Columbia for work. We ate carrots and played outside on the front porch because it was so nice out. He is so good and I cannot get enough of him!
He insists on taking one bite of food and then his fingers go in his mouth after EVERY bite!
My mom was in town to watch Hudson for a few days so that was fun! We got to enjoy some of her delicious cooking. Wednesday night she cooked steaks, baked potatoes, squash, and chocolate cake. Thursday night she cooked her fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, squash casserole, and cheese biscuits. SO GOOD! Friday night we went to eat dinner at Smoky Oak on James Island and then Hudson and NanJan went home and the rest of us went out on Folly and stayed out there. We had a lot of fun, but stayed up WAY too late and it made for a sleepy Saturday. I did enjoy lunch at Lost Dog and a walk through the Taste of Folly Festival before heading back to Mt. P.
Here are a few pics from Smoky Oak…
Today I have enjoyed a morning walk, church, cleaning, laundry, football watching, and a roast in my crockpot! PERFECT day! In other exciting news, Jimmy will be home this coming Friday…cannot wait! It doesn’t hurt that we have a fun trip to Mexico planned while he is off this time!
